DYSPHASIC
describes their sound as Straight-ahead Mid-West Rock'n'Roll,
but just like the Midwest, their sound is a mixture
of influences from across the country... maybe even
a little bit of country (but not too much).
DYSPHASIC
has been rocking the St. Louis area since early 2003,
but the current lineup was completed around October
2003 when they replaced their original guitar player
with Jose "El Puma" Diaz.
DYSPHASIC's
sound is hard to categorize because the songs range
from acoustic ballads to full-on hard rock assaults
with some songs having more of a blues or country feel.
But the defining characteristic of any DYSPHASIC song
is POWER. The distinctive vocals of Keith Brake, the
virtuoso lead guitar of Jose Diaz and the rock-solid
rhythm put down by bassist Brian Schifferdecker and
drummer Tony Mueller all come together as one powerful
force, ready to blow out your speakers... so crank it
up!
In
addition to their original music, DYSPHASIC plays cover
gigs showcasing some of the best music from the 60's
to the present from bands like ZZ Top, Black Sabbath,
Stone Temple Pilots, Joe Satriani, Chevelle & Nickelback.

DYSPHASIC
has been featured twice on the local television show
"The Best of the STL" seen on City TV 10 in
St. Louis, once playing original music and a second
time promoting their new project, a Joe Satriani Tribute
band. The tribute band project is set to start playing
sometime in the Summer of 2007. Download video samples
